G.L.A.S.S. stands for Great Lakes Area Spring Shoot. We are a group of 100+ pyrotechnic enthusist from around the country. Some of us are professional pyrotechnicians, but a lot of us are just hobbyist. Many of us have been going to group shoots around the country for years. We felt it was time to have one in the Great Lakes Region. Towards the end of 1998 a group of charter members started laying the ground work for what we now know as GLASS.

We put on GLASS because we love fireworks. None of our members make a profit off the show. In fact all our time and ultimately our fireworks are donated by its members and our wonderful sponsors. At our 2010 event we also raised money for several charities. We partnered primarily with the local American Legion and were able to help them raise money for their great organization. They also were able to participate in our Salute to the Troops opening program by providing us with Color Guard. In addition to the American Legion one of our member's daughters raised money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society by selling lemonade. We raised money once again for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in 2011.
